Manufacturing estimating and RFQ review for clearer costs, cleaner bid packages, and quote-ready production work.

Charting the Cost Path to Production.

Turn Complex Manufacturing Packages Into Clear, Reviewable Estimates.

VASCO Technical Services works through drawings, BOMs, specifications, materials, labor, purchased components, outside processes, supplier pricing, assumptions, and open questions—giving manufacturers a clearer basis for quotation, purchasing, and production.

Manufacturing Estimating

Clear Cost Development for Complex Manufacturing Work

Receiving a technical package is only the beginning. Before a reliable quote can be developed, the scope must be understood, manufacturing content separated, supplier requirements identified, cost inputs developed, and unresolved questions documented. VASCO Technical Services provides the structured technical estimating and RFQ support needed to move that work forward.

VASCO Technical Services does more than organize files or identify missing information. We work through the manufacturing scope, cost inputs, supplier requirements, assumptions, and technical questions behind the quote. The result is a transparent work product your team can review, adjust, and use.

The Problem

Complex RFQs Demand Dedicated Estimating Attention

Complex manufacturing opportunities require more than a quick takeoff. Drawings, specifications, revisions, supplier pricing, special processes, compressed deadlines, and unresolved scope conditions can consume internal capacity and introduce costly assumptions.

VASCO Technical Services provides dedicated front-end estimating support so manufacturers can pursue opportunities without repeatedly pulling engineers, production leaders, and other critical personnel back into the bid process.

Estimating Support

Managed From Initial Review Through Final Preparation

VASCO Technical Services can take ownership of a specific estimating package, support an established internal process, provide an independent technical review, prepare supplier RFQs, or add qualified capacity when workload increases.

Depending on the assignment, that work may include package review, scope development, material and labor evaluation, purchased-component pricing, supplier coordination, outside-process requirements, quantity takeoffs, clarification tracking, and bid-risk documentation.

Estimating & RFQ Services

Focused Support for Manufacturing Opportunities

Full RFQ Estimate

Development of a reviewable cost basis covering materials, labor, purchased components, outside processes, supplier pricing, assumptions, exclusions, and major bid risks.

Cost and Scope Review

Independent review of drawings, specifications, BOMs, quantities, estimate inputs, and scope boundaries before a quotation or purchasing decision is finalized.

Supplier RFQ Preparation

Preparation of organized supplier requests containing the applicable scope, drawings, quantities, processes, requirements, deadlines, and quote expectations.

Quote Comparison and Leveling

Organization and comparison of supplier quotations so differences in scope, pricing, assumptions, exclusions, lead time, and technical understanding are visible.

Assumptions and Clarification Logs

Clear documentation of unresolved requirements, customer questions, vendor questions, estimate assumptions, exclusions, and items requiring confirmation.

Manufacturing Package Review

Review of technical information for consistency, usability, revision alignment, vendor communication, and readiness for quotation, purchasing, or manufacturing.

RFQ Review

Before It Can Be Priced, It Has to Be Understood

VASCO Technical Services reviews drawings, BOMs, specifications, quantities, revisions, scopes, and customer instructions to identify the information that affects cost, supplier pricing, schedule, and quote confidence.

  • Scope, quantities, deliverables, and quotation requirements
  • Drawing, BOM, specification, and revision alignment
  • Material, hardware, finish, and manufacturing-process requirements
  • Purchased-component, subcontractor, and supplier-pricing needs
  • Assumptions that could affect labor, cost, or schedule
  • Clarification questions affecting scope or quotation
  • Requirements that may create estimating or production-handoff risk

Experience

Built on Hands-On Manufacturing Experience

We review every estimate and RFQ package from the perspective of the people who will price, fabricate, machine, weld, assemble, inspect, and deliver the work.

That practical insight brings the true cost drivers into focus—from labor and material assumptions to purchased components, outside processing, supplier questions, drawing clarity, BOM completeness, inspection requirements, and production-handoff risk.

Experience includes fabricated assemblies, welded structures, machined components, tooling, fixtures, custom hardware, ground-support equipment, industrial systems, and other technically detailed build-to-print work.

VASCO Technical Services has also supported select technical and commercial projects involving layouts, field-measurement-based planning, conceptual drawings, renderings, material coordination, and documentation prepared for review by the appropriate architects, engineers, contractors, or responsible professionals.

Deliverables

Estimating Information Ready for Decision-Making

Deliverables are structured around the customer’s requirements and established estimating process. VASCO Technical Services can work within an existing estimating format or provide an organized package for internal review and final quotation.

  • Estimate Workbook: Organized material, labor, purchased-component, subcontractor, outside-process, and supplier-pricing inputs.
  • Cost Breakdown: A clear view of the major cost categories and the basis used to develop the estimate.
  • Supplier RFQ Matrix: Supplier requirements, quote status, due dates, responses, and outstanding pricing needs.
  • Assumptions and Exclusions: A documented record of what was included, excluded, interpreted, or still requires confirmation.
  • Open-Item and Clarification Log: Customer questions, vendor questions, missing inputs, technical clarifications, and assigned follow-up items.
  • Quote Comparison: Side-by-side organization of supplier pricing, scope differences, exclusions, lead times, and commercial considerations.
